WHY PARKINSON'S?

WHY PARKINSON'S?

Parkinson’s is a nerve disease of the brain effecting 10 million people worldwide (100,000 in Canada) for which there is no cure. It is the fastest growing neurological disease in the world and is a leader in causing permanent disability. In time it’s victims lose control of their bodies.

However, exercise has been proven to slow the progression of the disease. It’s U-Turn Parkinson‘s aim to be a centre of excellence providing condition-specific, holistic, research based programs, free of charge to the Parkinson’s community.

U-Turn Parkinson‘s was founded by Tim Hague Sr a professional speaker and author, who along with his son, won the inaugural season of The Amazing Race Canada. U-Turn Parkinson’s was founded in 2016 and Tim has been living with Parkinson’s disease personally since 2011.

Donations made in support of Team #81 Ride for Parkinson’s go towards empowering people living with Parkinson’s in their pursuit of wellness. Learn more about the charity. Thank you!
